Plan a run
Pick an event on the left, or start one. The whole thing is four steps:
New event. Name it, set the start, and put the runner's email in "Runner's email"; she gets an invitation and accepts it in the app.
Route. Draw it on the map (it follows streets), paste a Google Maps directions link, or import a GPX. Set a goal time and the planned times fill in, hills included.
Cheer stations and pace segments. Click the map to place stations; add segments where pacers join. "What's nearby?" helps pick spots friends can reach.
Save and share the link. Friends sign up with their email. On the day, race control here shows where she is, and the paper sheet covers a dead phone.
Works on a phone too, if the runner is planning her own run.
Event
Used for every stretch without its own pace segment.
She gets an invitation; once she accepts (in the app or here), only her phone can start the run and flip the share links to live.
Route
Strava, Garmin, Komoot and RideWithGPS: export the route as GPX and use the file picker above. Short maps.app.goo.gl links need to be opened and the full address copied.
No route. Import a KML or GPX file exported from Google My Maps, Strava, Komoot, etc., or pick "Draw route" above the map and click your way along it; it follows streets and paths.
Waypoints & cheer stations
Choose a mode above the map, then click the map to add. Drag a pin to move it. Cheer stations are what friends can sign up for.
Pace segments
Stretches with their own pace — slower with a friend, faster downhill. Pacers sign up for these; the segment start gets a pin and an arrival time.
Coverage
Where she has company and where she doesn't. Filled marks have someone signed up.
Her planned time between neighbouring cheer stations against a friend's transit and walking time.
